Laboratory Mission
- the education of specialists in general Service Systems
- basic and applied research into Service Systems
- expansion of SSME (Service Science, Management, and Engineering) principles using CEP (Complex event processing) technology and PPM (Project portfolio management).
- cooperation with academic and commercial partners in the expanded use of research results and of trained specialists
Subject of Research and Development Activities
- Knowledge and Information Systems architecture design and Service Systems design
- definition of the purpose of particular agents, interface and principles of function of Service Systems
- design of algorithms implementing the function of particular agents
- technical documentation on the principles of technology agents of Service Systems
- development and implementation of prototype agents for the Knowledge and Information Robot to prove research hypotheses
- design of domains for the use of Service Systems based on CEP technology, analysis of the ways of using of CEP in these domains
- looking for methods and procedures for the integration of Service Systems based on CEP technology in research, development and practical usage
- developing new research trends leading to synergic cooperation with other research laboratories at FI MU, as well as with other academic institutes
- work on research issues based on the use of Service Systems and CEP technology by commercial partners
- cooperation with the Brno CEP Group
